8 Strand Braided Polypropylene Mooring Rope. Polypropylene is the strongest rope (weight to strength) of all synthetics. The most popular premium general-purpose synthetic fibre rope. Economical and versatile. This synthetic fibre rope is easier to handle than rope made from natural fibres. Low to moderate elongation. Floats, with high resistance to mildew and marine growth, and good resistance to most chemicals. this is the lightest rope we offer and is nearly twice as strong as Manila. This monofilament fibre polypropylene rope is very smooth-surfaced. Due to its relatively low melting point (330°F), it is not recommended on capstans orbits where heat from friction could cause melting or fishing. Polypropylene has the best resistance to the flow of electricity
